The Vecto project aims to establish a uniform, clear and fair standard on vehicle structures and specifications with a view to reducing CO2 emissions in Europe.

2018 - present
Developments in the transport sector regarding CO2 reductions are not in line with the Climate Accord (30% CO2 reduction by 2030). Various techniques such as hydrogen and electrification will only be able to be rolled out on a large scale after the respective deadline. Until then, there are very few (major) technological steps that can be taken.  Nevertheless, TRTA sees opportunities to achieve major reductions in the short term by introducing the DUO trailer, an LZV combination with two trailers.

Engine cooling systems sometimes cause maintenance issues. TRTA wants to minimise problems concerning engine cooling systems and stay up to date with the developments in this field.
