TRTA has set itself the goal of sharing user experiences with its OEM affiliates with a view to further improving products, preventing breakdowns and stoppages, and reducing operating costs.
Trailers are used in practically all forms of road, water and rail transport. There is a wide range of models, aimed at specific applications. The use of these is almost always extremely intensive. This places extremely high demands on the design, the materials used and the maintenance. TRTA has members who operate large and small trailer fleets and ever since its inception, has therefore been a welcome field test partner for many different OEMs and subcontractors.
Results of these field tests with suspension systems, braking systems, axles, wheels, tyres, curtain sides, lashing equipment, chassis, lighting, refrigeration and much more, have regularly led to improvements in products. TRTA work visits are often very informative for suppliers as well. Plenty of time is always taken to discuss and talk about what we want and future developments.
