When using terminal tractors, the semi-trailer backs up, causing the tyres of mega trailers to scrape against the ground and damage the tread or even the tyre itself.
This type of problem, which incurs unnecessary costs, but which inevitably also endangers the safety of the driver and other road users, needs to be resolved in a technical manner as soon as possible.
The UNDERCARRIAGE committee is currently mapping out which members are experiencing these problems. Once this research has been completed, consultations will be held with the trailer manufacturer(s) concerned in order to come up with a good solution.
