Would you like to determine the CO2 footprint of your trailers in daily practice? That's possible! The test version of the simulation program VECTO Trailer, developed by the European Commission (EC), is available.
The European Commission is in the middle of the design phase of the future European CO2 legislation for trailers. A climax in that process has now been reached; the release of the VECTO Trailer Tool test version. This gives the industry the opportunity to test this tool. So before the legislation - in whatever form yet to be determined - comes into force. That is expected to be in 2023.
Trial version
To ensure that the test phase runs as smoothly as possible, trailer manufacturers can receive the trial version and actually test it. Progress
The Research Consortium is working on a document that fully explains the development, methodology and data 'behind' the VECTO Trailer Tool. Once approved by the European Commission, this document will be included with the tool. We will of course keep you informed about this.
