The legal requirements for winter tyres are not uniform across Europe and vary from country to country. For international transport in particular, this sometimes causes problems or unnecessary higher costs.
TRTA would like to see a single European directive drawn up especially for winter tyres for towed equipment.
At this very moment, the requirements of the various countries are being mapped out and the agreements are being bundled together. Details of how this project is progressing will be announced in the near future.
